Homeless Man With Sweet Radio Voice Lands NBA Voiceover Job

OK, this is barely even tangentially LA-related, but it’s an amazing story nonetheless. Ted Williams, a homeless man in Columbus with a studied radio voice, was a recovering drug and alcohol addict who would solicit change on the side of the road in exchange for a few words of his sweet voice. A Columbus Dispatch reporter eventually posted a YouTube clip of Williams and it soon went viral. This week, Williams drew enough web heat to begin getting job offers from all over the country.
