Holiday Ad Budgets No Different From Regular Ad Budgets: Social Dominates...Sorta

Three quarters of retailers will spend at least some money on social media marketing this holiday season, and 27 percent of all retailers surveyed will spend most of their marketing budgets online, emarketer reports.

The 75% of marketers who will be using social media this season is up dramatically from 59 percent in 2009. Still, in most cases, social marketing represents a tiny slice of a company’s overall marketing budget: just 18 percent of the marketers surveyed said that at least 20% of their efforts were social.
