Harry Morgan, a.k.a. Colonel Potter, Dead at 96
Actor Harry Morgan died this morning at his home in Brentwood after a bout with pneumonia. He was 96.
Morgan is best known for his role as Colonel Sherman T. Potter on the television dramedy M*A*S*H. He won an Emmy for the part, which he played from 1975 till the show went off the air in 1983. But Morgan had a prolific acting career beyond M*A*S*H, as detailed by The NY Times:
