Google to Acquire Frommer's
Google is buying Frommer’s, the travel brand, from John Wiley & Sons, which has been trying to sell the brand since March. The Wall Street Journal reports that Google hasn’t yet decided if the iconic Frommer’s guide books will continue to be printed or go all digital.
As the Journal notes, Google already owns Zagat, so it’s possible that Frommer’s and Zagat could be combined.
The price of Google’s acquisition is unknown.
