Gene Hackman Is All Over the News

A theater stage, a shooting location and a daughter's fateful pronouncement.

In a New York Times Travel piece titled “36 Hours in Pasadena, California,” reference is made to Gene Hackman’s days at the Pasadena Playhouse. In the L.A. Times, the actor’s name comes up in both the headline and text of a photo-feature revisit of a home used as a filming location for All Night Long.

But the best Hackman reference this week belongs to Deadline’s Mike Fleming Jr. In honor of the 25th anniversary of The Silence of the Lambs, Fleming assembled the film’s director Jonathan Demme, literary agent Robert Bookman and screenwriter Ted Tally to reminisce.
