Gannett Adds 2 Media Veterans

Joanne Lipman and Daniel Bernard come aboard.

Gannett has hired media veterans Joanne Lipman and Daniel Bernard as chief content officer and chief product officer, respectively.

Lipman was previously the founding editor in chief of Condé Nast Portfolio and deputy managing editor of The Wall Street Journal. Bernard previously served as head of product for Time Inc.’s Time, Fortune and Money Digital. He also served as chief product officer for Wall Street Journal Digital.

“We are extremely pleased that Joanne and Daniel are joining Gannett,” said Gannett president and CEO Robert Dickey.
