Fortune Steals Senior Writer Away From Portfolio

EXCLUSIVE

File this under big business magazine staffing wars: We just received word that former Fortune senior writer Betsy Morris gave notice to Condé Nast’s Portfolio and will be returning to her old digs at Fortune. Morris had been a senior writer at Portfolio. Prior to her first stint at Fortune, Morris spent 14 years at the Wall Street Journal as a writer and bureau chief.

An announcement is expected later today.

Under editor Andy Serwer, Fortune has been trying to ratchet up the heat for Time Inc.
