Former Hot 97 DJ Megatron Killed Near Staten Island Home
DJ Megatron, a hip-hop personality on Hot 97/WQHT, before joining BET, was killed early Sunday.
The NYPD says DJ Megatron, whose given name was Corey McGriff, was down the street from his Staten Island home when he was gunned down. Police say DJ Megatron took one shot to the torso around 2 a.m. The 32-year-old DJ died on the street.
WNBC reports DJ Megatron may have been killed in a botched robbery, and no arrests were made.
The Daily News says DJ Megatron had three children; the oldest is 11, the youngest, a son, was born nine months ago.
