Lavin made two distinct predictions, one about data and the other about social media. First up, the issue with data. As there’s more and more data, it becomes more and more important to have people mine the data for interesting stories. Guess who will do that?

There will be an exponential increase in data available—to analyze businesses, to compare them to model future activity and so on.
