FCC and Z100 Agree to Consent Degree on Airing Phone Calls
Clear Channel’s AMFM Radio Licenses has reached a Consent Degree with the FCC over recording and airing telephone conversations without the other party’s authorization at WHTZ/Z 100.
All Access reports the Commission received two similar complaints on March 27, 2006 and February 21, 2007.
Clear Channel will make a voluntary contribution of $20,o00 to the U.S. Treasury to settle the matter.
