Farnsworth House Threatened by Flooding Again, Preservation Group Vows to Fight Back in '09

According to the Tribune‘s Blair Kamin, apparently Mies van der Rohe‘s Farnsworth House was once again in danger just weeks ago in late December due to more flooding that struck Illinois’ Fox River. You’ll recall that this past summer found the famous house swimming in water, which led to its immediate closure to tourists and a massive reconstruction effort. Now, after suffering another series of nerve wracking water attacks, the group that manages the house, Landmarks Illinois, is vowing to spend the year figuring out how to stop living in fear of the Fox River and finally do something about it.
