Facebook Tops Google For Most Popular Site On the Internet

Facebook is number one. According to the web analytics site Experian Hitwise, Facebook has surpassed Google as the Internet’s primary destination. 8.93 percent of all U.S. traffic between January and November 2010 went to Facebook. Google ranked second with 7.19 percent of visits.

“Facebook” was also the number one search term in the United States, according to Experian. “Facebook login” was number two. “Facebook.com” was number six and “www.facebook.com” was number nine.

Seriously, America? Get a friggin’ life.
