Facebook’s Instant Articles—content from news outlets that is hosted by the social network, thus allowing faster load times—is now available to all iPhone users. The program launched in May, but is only now rolling out to everyone. Every iPhone user, that is. Android users will get Instant Articles later this year.
To find Instant Articles, look for a tiny lightning bolt symbol in the post. That symbol indicates it’s hosted by Facebook and should load about 10 times faster than traditional content.
Along with the big rollout, Facebook announced a slew of media partners. Instant Articles already has The New York Times, BuzzFeed, NBC News, National Geographic and more. Here are just a few of the many new media outlets allowing Facebook to host content: The Huffington Post, Complex, The Daily Mail, USA Today, Business Insider, Fox Sports, MLB, The Hollywood Reporter, The Onion, The Verge, Time, People and Harper’s Bazaar.
