Esquire Vet Wendell Brown Joins The Daily Beast

An 11-year run comes to an end.

Wendell Brown is leaving Esquire to join The Daily Beast. Brown had been with Esquire since 2004, most recently serving as senior fashion editor.

Brown was an Esquire staple. He helped launch its Big Black Book and served as the second-most senior fashion staffer, behind fashion director Nick Sullivan.

Prior to joining Esquire, Brown worked for Harper’s Bazaar as a senior fashion editor and WWD as an associate fashion editor.

WWD reports that Brown’s last day at Esquire will be next week.
