Esquire Magazine Fumbles Photo, Then Fumbles Apology

From egregious to really egregious.

A glitch on the Esquire magazine website today briefly tangled up an image from a re-posted Tom Junod story about an infamous 9/11 AP photograph and a completely unrelated content menu:

In the face of some immediate and completely understandable Twitter outrage, one of the folks manning the magazine’s official Twitter account let loose with this:

Will there be an apology for the “relax” apology? On this September 11, without a doubt. The tone of the tweet made a bad situation much, much worse.
