ESPN To Launch New York Site
ESPN has announced that it will launch ESPNNewYork.com, a New York-specific sports Web site, on April 2 – just in time for April 4th’s ESPN2 telecast between the 2009 World Series Champion New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox. New York Daily News sports editor Leon Carter will serve as the site’s executive editor. ESPN is also focusing its efforts on providing local sports content to fans in Chicago, Boston, Dallas and Los Angeles.
ESPN Radio 1050 AM, which will have its own section on the new Web site, will air a special of The Michael Kay Show on April 2 to celebrate ESPNNewYork.com’s
