Ellianna Placas, Essence's Controversial Fashion Director, Leaves Magazine

The New York Times is reporting that Ellianna Placas, Essence’s fashion director, has left the magazine. Ever since Placas was hired in 2010, she was under a storm cloud of controversy for being the first white fashion editor at Essence.
