Dwell on Design: We've Arrived

We’ve just strolled into the first day of Dwell on Design. We missed some of Mark Lakeman‘s presentation on Portland’s urban renewal but that’s Kathryn McCamant up there, talking about affordable cohousing for the middle class, a movement she and her husband, architect Charles Durrett, helped seed in the 80s. She even used to live in one of her own creations, the Doyle Street Cohousing Community in Emeryville, CA, and now lives in a Nevada City development in the Sierras, which she also designed.
