We’ve just strolled into the first day of Dwell on Design. We missed some of Mark Lakeman‘s presentation on Portland’s urban renewal but that’s Kathryn McCamant up there, talking about affordable cohousing for the middle class, a movement she and her husband, architect Charles Durrett, helped seed in the 80s. She even used to live in one of her own creations, the Doyle Street Cohousing Community in Emeryville, CA, and now lives in a Nevada City development in the Sierras, which she also designed.
We just bumped into Dwell editor-in-chief Sam Grawe and online editor Chelsea Holden Baker, and spotted Dwell founder Lara Hedberg Deam in a supercute striped dress. Stay tuned for more sightings, stalkings and updates from our perch in the blogger bank. Which, by the way, is actually quite nice–they even gave us Fatboys to sit in!
