Drowning in Resumes? Use An Online Matching Service!

Recruiting is a tricky game these days. Human Resource offices are drowning in applications. Now one company has come up with a solution, at least for the financial sector.

OneWire is a new online service for financial recruiters. Instead of just posting a job, OneWire matches prospective candidates with companies using parameters laid out by recruiters. Marc Karasu, OneWire’s VP of marketing likened the experience to eHarmony.

Ere.net says:

If a recruiter was looking for a Harvard graduate with international banking experience in the pharmaceutical mid-caps who was on the college crew team (a not uncommon request in finance reqs, Karasu insists), and speaks fluent Mandarin OneWire will deliver up all matching candidates and score them.

The system is not based on algorithms, so it is necessary for recruiters and candidates to be as thorough as possible when listing their skills.
