Do You Have the Stamina to Be Shape Magazine's New Deputy Editor?

Cardio lovers and health nuts, listen up. Shape magazine is on the hunt for a new deputy editor to join its New York team.

If you land the gig, you’ll be top editing a good portion of the magazine (30 to 40 percent), namely its the health and nutrition sections. You should be known for packaging stories in creative ways, and be able to deliver fresh and clever display copy. A team player mentality is a must-have since you’ll be managing and mentoring a team of writers and editors.

A minimum of five years of experience as a senior editor at a national magazine will get your foot in the door, but you should also have a strong background in or familiarity with the fields of health and nutrition.
