Devin Faraci Puts LAFCA in an Unfamiliar Spot
Film critics group may be forced to take action against an embattled member.
Among those who make up the current executive committee of the Los Angeles Film Critics Association (LAFCA) is Amy Nicholson, MTV’s chief film critic. In the wake of fellow group member Devin Faraci’s exchange on Twitter with a woman who claims he sexually assaulted her in 2004, Faraci resigned his editor in chief position from the website Birth.Movies.Death and subsequently agreed to part ways professionally with Nicholson. The pair’s popular Earwolf podcast, Canon, has been put on indefinite hiatus.
