David Wright Goes To Bat For Va. Tech
Mets heart-throbby third baseman David Wright, a Virginia native, has teamed up with the New York City chapter of Virginia Tech alumni for a fundraiser to benefit Va. Tech victims and their families. The event is slated for Friday night at Webster Hall and is expected to raise $250,000 for scholarships and support.
Friday, of course is the start of this year’s Subway Series between the Mets and Yankees, so Wright would be a fashionably late arrival.
