Guardian Media Group has named David Pemsel its new CEO. Pemsel most recently served as deputy CEO of Guardian News & Media.
“David has been a key architect of GNM’s commercial success, digital strategy and international expansion,” said Neil Berkett, chair of GMG, in a statement. “I am therefore delighted that he is now stepping up to the top job, unquestionably one of the most demanding and exciting roles in the media industry.”
Pemsel’s appointment is effective July 1.
