'Dancing' and 'Idol' Stand Atop the Weekly New York Ratings
For the second week, Dancing With The Stars has found a home between American Idol at the top of the weekly prime time ratings.
Last week’s two-hour performance episode of Idol took the top spot in New York with an estimated 1.8 million viewers watching on WNYW/Fox 5. The show had a 9.2 rating, according to the Nielsen Company. The elimination show, which sent two singers packing, tied for number two with 1.6 million and a 8.3 rating.
Joining Idol in the second slot was Dancing for its performance show Monday night on WABC. The
