Daily News Offers Buyouts to Photographers

The incredible shrinking newspaper.

NY_DNThe New York Daily News keeps downsizing. According to the New York Post, the Daily News has offered buyout packages to its last remaining staff photographers.

About 12 photographers were given an offer by the Daily News. They must make their decision by Dec. 11.

This is just the latest round of cutbacks at the Daily News after owner Mort Zuckerman failed to find a buyer. In September about 30 staffers were cut. Just last month, the Daily News threatened its union drivers with an all-digital format if they failed to approve a modified contract.
