Craig Allen, WCBS 880 Longtime Meteorologist, Gets Three Year Extension
To paraphrase the inscription at the James Farley Post Office in Manhattan, “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays the courier from the swift completion of his appointed rounds.”
For Craig Allen, his “appointed rounds” have meant giving listeners the most accurate weather forecast, regardless of the elements.
This April, the legendary Allen marks 30 years as WCBS 880 chief meteorologist, and today FishbowlNY has learned that Allen will remain with his beloved WCBS-AM for several more years.
His contract extension has been finalized, giving Allen another three years at Newsradio 880.
