Could More Layoffs Be Looming At The New York Times?

It’s just a rumor for now, but The New York Times is certainly covering their asses when CFO James Follo told reporters on Wednesday that “we would expect that to be the case” in response to questions about 2010 layoffs. This less-than-stellar news came during the conference call that followed the last quarter earnings announcement on Wednesday, when it was revealed that the NYT had indeed managed to make a slight profit in 2009, despite declining ad sales.
