Copyranter Fired from BuzzFeed for Not Creating Enough 'BuzzFeedy' Content

Mark Duffy, more widely known as Copyranter, has been fired from BuzzFeed after only seven months. Duffy wrote on his Facebook page that he was cut “because my content wasn’t inline with what BuzzFeed wanted (wasn’t ‘BuzzFeedy’ enough).”

Duffy’s posts seem plenty BuzzFeed worthy to us. But hey, we’re not in charge over there, so maybe something was amiss.

Thankfully for Duffy, not being “BuzzFeedy” is a good thing everywhere else but BuzzFeed.

Correction (4:45 pm):
Duffy had worked for BuzzFeed since April 2012.
