Condé Nast’s Digital Mags Will Run On Adobe

According to a company press release, Condé Nast president, Robert A. Sauerberg, Jr., said today that the media giant will use Adobe Digital Publishing Suite to develop digital replica apps for their magazines.  The announcement comes less than two weeks removed from Condé Nast’s reshuffling of digital operations — a process headed up by chief technology officer Joe Simon.   

Currently, Condé Nast titles Wired and The New Yorkeroffer Adobe-based digitial editions for iPad users.  Conde’s other digital mags – GQ, Vanity Fair, and Glamour – will have their apps redesigned using Adobe technology. 

Earlier today, Simon explained the benefits of this partnership at Adobe’s annual MAX conference in Los Angeles:

 “We have always intended to deliver our content on a variety of platforms and devices, and the Adobe Design Suite will help us efficiently achieve the ‘author once, publish anywhere’ goal.”
