Colleen McCarthy Leaves NY Times for New York

Colleen McCarthy is leaving The New York Times for New York, where she will serve as the magazine’s new executive director of business development. McCarthy had been with the Times since 2006, most recently as its director of business development.

At New York, McCarthy will be tasked with expanding the title’s existing businesses — such as New York Deals and its partnership with How About We, the dating website — and creating new opportunities.

Prior to her stint at the Times, McCarthy worked for The Wall Street Journal, from 2000 to 2006.
