Clear Channel Radio Names New LA Operations Manager

Andrew Jeffries has just been named Clear Channel Radio's new operations manager for the LA market. Jeffries was most recently the head of AC formats for 104.3 MYFM and KOST 103.5 in LA. With his promotion, he now becomes responsible for KIIS-FM, KYSR (98.7FM), KHHT (HOT 92.3) and the AM talk stations KTLK, Sports KLAC and KFI. Which means that John and Ken are now his responsibility. Have fun with that! Jeffries is an international radio veteran and has worked in the industry for 23 years. “Andrew is a wildly talented programmer with a solutions-oriented mindset,” said Greg Ashlock, President and Market Manager, Clear Channel Radio Los Angeles. “His diverse experience across multiple formats will serve him well as he interacts with our cluster of top ranked stations in Los Angeles.” Jeffries has extensive international programming experience. He began his international radio career in New Zealand in 1989 and since then has worked in England, Scotland and Australia. While in Europe, he was Program Director for KISS 100 London and was also Head of Programming for Music Choice – Europe. In 2008, Jeffries moved to the United States to serve as Program Director at Clear Channel’s Star 101.3 in San Francisco. Later that year he became Head of AC Formats for Clear Channel Los Angeles’ 104.3 MYFM and KOST 103.5. “Our Clear Channel cluster encompasses world class programmers.
