Clear Channel Media has announced that Kevin Dorsey has been named president of the company’s traffic, navigation, and mobility units. Based in Manhattan, Dorsey will oversee the continued integration of Metro Traffic with Clear Channel’s Total Traffic division. He will manage and further develop innovative programs including broadcast traffic reporting, online traffic mapping, custom routes and personalized mobile navigation.
As we reported, Clear Channel acquired Shadow/Metro from Westwood One in April. Within six months, the vaunted Shadow/Metro names were retired and several notable traffic reporters and managers were let go as the integration was well underway.

Dorsey’s responsibilities will also include building integrated connections with “consumers on the go” over the air, online and via mobile.
Dorsey joined Clear Channel Media and Entertainment in September 2011 and previously served as senior VP of National Advertising Platforms.
Prior to joining Clear Channel, he held the role of senior VP of business development for the CBS Local Digital Media group. Dorsey was integral in the restructuring of the CBS owned and operated TV stations and News, Talk, and Sports Radio station websites into 24 individual market sites.
