Chuck Townsend Endorses Cindi Leive
Chuck Townsend, CEO of Condé Nast, is fan of Cindi Leive, Glamour’s editor-in-chief. Even if (maybe!) Anna Wintour isn’t. Ever since Wintour was named artistic director and immediately began lopping off Condé editors’ heads, rumors have been swirling that Leive was next to get axed.
However, Townsend — speaking to The New York Post — put his full support behind Glamour’s editor. “I’m just about to go down there [Glamour’s offices] now to celebrate their 75th anniversary issue and the wonderful job Cindi’s done,” said Townsend.
