Chris Connelly Named Interim Editor of Grantland

The veteran journalist has some big shoes to fill.

Bill Simmons’ abrupt exit from ESPN left some giant shoes to fill. Veteran journalist Chris Connelley will do his best to fill them. Connelly has been named interim editor-in-chief of Grantland, which was founded by Simmons.

Connelley—who joined ESPN in 2001—will continue to contribute to ESPN and ABC News programs.

Before joining ESPN, Connelly worked for MTV for more than a decade.
