One of the best ways for a consumer website to manufacture publicity, especially in the dying days of a calendar year, is to release the results of an online poll. Especially if there’s a celebrity angle involved.
Case in point: the sharing today by San Francisco-based BabyCenter.com of the “Best and Worst Celebrity Baby Names of 2010.” A total of 2,000 respondents chimed in, choosing the Boston Catholic christening of Mark Wahlberg’s daughter Grace Margaret as their favorite famous newborn tagging of the year.
As far as Worst Celebrity Baby Names of 2010, we’re in disagreement with the readers’ top selection.
