BreakingNews Joins Tumblr, Will Aggregate Breaking News
BreakingNews, the MSNBC.com-run operation that’s best-known for the @BreakingNews Twitter feed, has officially joined another social network: Tumblr (http://breakingnews.tumblr.com/).
A news operation joining Tumblr is usually not worth a post here. But what BreakingNews hopes to do is unique. They’ll be aggregating breaking news from other news organizations on Tumblr, using one of Tumblr’s backbone features: tag curation.
BreakingNews editors will be monitoring the #breaking news tag, and will reblog the best of the bunch.
