Brady Bunch, Gilligan's Island Creator Sherwood Schwartz Dies at 94

Sherwood Schwartz, the man who created and co-wrote both The Brady Bunch and Gilligan’s Island, passed away early this morning at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in LA. He had been hospitalized for the past week with an intestinal infection which required surgery.

Despite his age, Schwartz was apparently still working up until his death. His nephew, Douglas Schwartz, who helped created Baywatch, told the AP that Sherwood was working on a Gilligan’s Island screenplay when he passed.
