Boston Globe To Produce Mid-Day Newscast

The Boston Globe is set to produce a mid-day, 90-second newscast, not unlike the daily “TimeCast” segment recently launched by the New York Times. The Boston Globe is, of course, owned by The New York Times Co.

Called “GlobeToday,” the daily video will feature a rundown of the day’s top stories and weather. It will be hosted by Boston.com producer Chona Camomot, and will air between 11:45 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. In addition to being available on the site, the video can also be found through iTunes and on YouTube.
