Bloomberg Monitors Its Employees
The great (okay, maybe average) Rockwell once said that he always felt like someone was watching him. At Bloomberg, that someone is likely Michael Bloomberg.
According to WWD, since Bloomberg’s return to the company, it has reinstated its policy of closely monitoring staffers:
The system allows everyone in the company to see when their coworkers arrived at work, giving the exact time they swiped their card upon entry. The arrival times are included in intercompany e-mails, according to an insider at Bloomberg, who called the practice a source of paranoia.
