Bear Grylls' Not-So-Great Ball of Fire
On paper, it must have sounded like a great way to light up the beginning of last night’s Dodgers-Pirates game. But on YouTube, let’s just say this Bear Grylls stunt plays a little less spectacularly.
After being let go earlier this year from Discovery’s Man vs. Wild, Grylls has now discovered what happens in the case of mound vs. wind resistance. Namely, the flame gets extinguished before the ball makes it to home plate.
Maybe it’s just a matter of a better liquid fuel coating.
