That New York Times moving out party to celebrate the move from West 43rd to the new Renzo Piano-designed palace? It ain’t all that posh.
A tipster let Radar know that the Times is making staffers bring their own alcohol. In other Eighth Avenue-related news, the broken elevator is no longer broken … and the NYT cafeteria will now be run by Restaurant Associates, they of Condé Nast and Hearst Building fame.
Does this mean Times folks can look forward to their own take on Hearst Building sushi? Yes, yes it does.
