Aspiring Model's Dreams Fulfilled

In the Michael Stars store at the Grove this evening, 17-year-old aspiring model Hallie Farrant got dolled up and ready for what her handlers called her “inaugural turn down the catwalk.”

Hallie strutted her stuff as part of the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s “Weekly Wish Night At the Grove” series.

Hallie is battling Von Hippel-Lindau disease, a rare genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow — she’s had her pancreas, spleen, gallbladder and adrenal glands removed. Hallie said her dream of becoming a model has given her strength through her disease, so she was sweetly giddy tonight.
