A Round of Cuts for Bloomberg TV

Bloomberg TV, headquartered in New York, has made up 30 cuts to the staff, our sister site TVNewser reports. The layoffs affect numerous positions including reporters, producers, and editors.

The personnel changes were in the works since Andrew Morse was hired as head of BTV last summer. The focus now shifts to Bloomberg’s digital platform, with 13 jobs created and a Digital Video Desk.

In February 2009, Bloomberg dismissed more than 100 people, the bulk from the radio and TV divisions. It was first time the company laid off staffers.
