AP, Nonprofits Ink Sharing Deal

The Associated Press will distribute the investigative work of four nonprofit journalism organizations over the wire starting next month, the New York Times reported.

The Center for Public Integrity, the Investigative Reporting Workshop at American University, the Center for Investigative Reporting, and ProPublica will see their work distributed to the 1,500 papers that are AP members starting July 1, in a six month experiment that could be broadened to include other nonprofits or expanded to the AP’s nonmember clients.
