AOL Gets $5 Million To Drop Fanhouse, Plus Salary Savings
It’s possible that AOL will be laying off 90 of its 100 fulltime FanHouse staffers now that Sporting News will be providing content for the ailing media behemoth.
This report comes from Sports By Brooks, which says that Kevin Blackistone, Terence Moore and Lisa Olson will “be among the precious few kept on.”
In exchange for AOL making Sporting News its exclusive sports content provider, Sporting News will pay AOL $5 million a year.
