Anthony DeMaio has been named vice president sales, associate publisher of Slate. DeMaio comes to Slate from The Washington Post, where he served as sales director for its Eastern region since 2007. Prior to that he was a national account manager for Washington Post Digital.
“Anthony is a tremendous addition to our team,” said Matt Turck, publisher of Slate. “He’s a legend in the business, and there is no one better suited to lead our national sales team to continued and growing success. We’re thrilled to have him.”
DeMaio is succeeding Turck, who was named publisher of Slate in early September.
DeMaio’s new role is effective October 4.
