An UnBeige Contest: <em>Rem Koolhaas: A Kind of Architect</em> Giveaway

As a special treat to start this week off, we're launching a quick contest. We'll be giving away one copy of Markus Heidingsfelder and Min Tesch's excellent documentary, Rem Koolhaas: A Kind of Architect, courtesy of good folks over at New Video. A look at the career of the startchitect, as well as the man and thinker himself, Koolhaas has said that "It's the only film about me that I have liked." You're apt to like it too and we're making it extra simple to win a copy. Just drop us an e-mail (unbeige@mediabistro.com) and tell us your favorite Koolhaas building and why you like it so much, we'll pick the best entry at the end of the week and send the winner their very own copy (official rules after the jump). So think back to your favorite Rem moments of glory and send them in. Here's a quick description from the film's site: Rarely has an architect caused as much sensation outside of the architecture community as Rem Koolhaas. His outstanding creations -- such as the Dutch Embassy in Berlin, the Seattle Library and the Casa da Musica concert hall in Porto -- are working examples of the Dutchman's visionary theories about architecture and urban society. But Koolhaas' work is as much about ideas as it is about constructing buildings; he is equally celebrated as a writer and social commentator. For Koolhaas, what is essential is not to create individual masterpieces, but to provoke and excite through the wide range of his activities. Eligibility: Entrants must be 18 years or older with an address in the United States or Canada. Employees of WebMediaBrands and its subsidiaries and affiliates are not eligible to enter the giveaway. No purchase is necessary, void where prohibited. The Prize will be advertized on our Web site. One winner will be selected based on the submissions made. The winner shall be selected by a panel of judges who shall make decisions based on their personal judgment and sole discretion. All decisions are final. Deadline: All submissions must be received between June 7th, 2010 and June 11th. 2010 by 11:59 p.m. EST. The winner will be notified by e-mail and must have valid e-mail address. Number of Winning Entries: WebMediaBrands or Mediabistro will select one winner from all the eligible entries received for the DVD offered during the giveaway. Entry Method/Number of Entries: You may enter once for each item to be given away. Entries must be received by e-mail to the address noted on the giveaway page. Only one name and e-mail address will be accepted. Multiple entries will be disqualified. One person may not win more than once, however, previous winners may enter subsequent giveaways and are eligible to win. Rights: WebMediaBrands has the right to disqualify entrants that don't follow these guidelines or to award the prize to alternative winners if winners cannot be contacted. Prizes must be accepted as awarded, are not transferable, and have no cash surrender value. List of prior winners may be obtained from WebMediaBrands upon request.
