'American Idol' Takes Top Spot in Weekly Ratings
For those who said that American Idol has seen its best days should know it was the number one show in New York last week.
The Wednesday night auditions was the highest-rated program with an estimated 2.2 million and 11.1 rating on WNYW, according to the Nielsen Company.
The next night’s Idol settled for number two (1.9 million/9.4).
Idol’s big numbers means the Fox 5 News at 10, once again, has its favorite lead-in.
The Wednesday night newscast anchored by Ernie Anastos and Dari Alexander shot up to number six (863,000/4.3).
