Janet Eastman, writing in the Home section of the LA Times, actually references Atoosa Rubenstein with a straight face. Alpha kitty decor is said to be all the rage, and Rubenstein is credited with coining the phrase:
I’m an Alpha Kitty: brave, intuitive, fierce, passionate and…well, yes, weird.
Alpha kitty has nothing to do with a spray bottle. Live and learn.
Eastman’s piece is about some woman with an MBA and an over-decorated house. (On the other hand, it’s a change from lofts and MCM.)
Can a bigger deal with Rubenstein be in the works? It’s been a long time since Eastman’s last book.
