Ain't <I>Missbehave</I>-in: Mag Gets New EIC

Lesley Arfin author, Viceer, DJ can add a new title to her mantle: editor-in-chief. Samantha Moeller, founder of Missbehave, announced Arfin will jump to the head of the bad girl's class, effective immediately. "Lesley is without a doubt the quintessential Missbehave chick: Chic, yet badass, she was the obvious choice," Moeller said in a statement. "She will bring fresh ideas, great new writers and overall awesomeness to the magazine. The girl is effortlessly cool, the perfect fit for Missbehave." Arfin's personal blog makes no mention of her new gig. It does, however, have some lovely pictures of Montauk. Arfin got her start as a staff writer and columnist at Vice magazine. Her "Dear Diary" column was known for its honest, awkward, funny and extremely personal approach, which has been a thread in all of Arfin's writing since, creating a distinct tone and style, one that she will bring to Missbehave. "Dear Diary," now a book (MTV) is also in development for a television pilot. Arfin has worked as a freelance stylist for years as well. She was associate fashion director to Heathmary Jackson for America magazine as well as Jackson's stylist assistant in general (campaigns include Report footwear, Karen Walker, Iceburg, Levi's, etc). Arfin contributed her styling skills to both Nylon and iD magazines, and also worked alongside Cindy Greene and Johnson Hartig of Libertine. Arfin has contributed to magazines including Nylon, iD, Jane, Jalouse, America, Vice, Jezebel.com, and pens a monthly column for Australian magazine Russh called "Notes From NYC."
